# Derive the Dimensional Formula of Density

Posted in Dimensional Formulae | Email This Post |Density is defined as the mass per unit volume. So its formula is

**Density = Mass/Volume**

Dimensional Formula of Mass = M^{1}L^{0}T^{0}

Dimensional Formula of Volume = M^{0}L^{3}T^{0}

Putting these values in above equation we get,

**Dimensional Formula of Density =M ^{1}L^{-3}T^{0}**

SI unit of Density is kg/ m^{3}

your ans. is satisfying me

i agree u sahil. nicely explained.

thanks frnd i found the dimension of density then at least i found in internet
