What is Dimensional Formula of Velocity Gradient?

Posted in Dimensional Formulae | Email This Post Email This Post |

Velocity Gradient is defined as rate of change in velocity per unit of distance.

Mathematically,
Velocity Gradient= velocity/distance.

Dimensional Formula of velocity= M0L1T-1

Putting these values in above equation we get,
Dimensional Formula of Velocity Gradient = M0L0T-1
SI unit of Velocity Gradient is s-1
